Los Angeles, like just about every other major metropolitan area is seeing exponential change. What was once considered 'not the place to be' after dark is now the site of fresh new condos and eateries, namely downtown L.A. 

The place to be in past decades, Robertson Boulevard is slowly sliding off the map due to just not keeping pace with changes in the economy, even as it appears to have bounced back. This is good to know as you navigate the streets of Los Angeles, either as a tourist or a resident, because you know, gas is expensive and time is a precious commodity.
