WWD - LA Times Partnership and Reese Witherspoon's Fashion Label Posted on 20 Jul 23:05 , 0 comments

If you've ever doubted that fashion is important or that it doesn't represent big business, a couple of signs have popped up to indicate otherwise. The Los Angeles Times and WWD, a Penske Media Corporation publication will soon walk hand-in-hand down the catwalk to bring fashion lovers more visuals, more news and more haute fashion for us to feast on, both in print and online. Look for WWD on LATimes.com and it will "also be distributed to select Los Angeles Times, The San Diego Union-Tribune, Chicago Tribune and Sun-Sentinel subscribers 12 times a year, starting in September, surrounding New York Fashion Week".

The first thing that drew my attention to Reese Witherspoon's article in WWD was the name of her new label, Draper James. I immediately thought of Don Draper and as Witherspoon poses in very classic style, I had to check her story. More and more celebrities are making their mark in fashion, and Reese Witherspoon is joining the ranks.

Draper James is her new fashion label and actually is named after her grandparents, Dorothea Draper and William James Witherspoon. She aims to introduce and in some cases, re-introduce the world to southern charm through sportswear and lifestyle accouterments. I'm looking forward to seeing her offerings - I've always admired her sense of style and whether it's our parents or grandparents, one thing a great many of us Americans have is southern roots.
